About

At the heart of our street sweeping and leaf removal service is a commitment to maintaining clean and safe neighborhoods. Our dedicated teams work diligently to ensure thorough street cleaning in designated districts, promoting a tidy environment and preventing debris accumulation. During leaf season, we conduct multiple passes through neighborhoods, efficiently collecting leaves and providing a final sweep for a pristine finish. We encourage community cooperation to facilitate smooth operations and appreciate residents' efforts in keeping streets clear of debris and foreign materials for effective and timely collection.

NOTE: Regular ticketing will take place for Districts 1, 2, 3, 9 in core areas, regardless of rain or shine, to ensure efficiency.

      • Keep leaf piles about a foot away from the curb.
      • Maintain the inlet/catch basin clear of debris if present in front of your house.

  • During leaf season, we go through each District TWICE with our front-end loaders, sweepers and leaf suckers.
  • Leaves raked out AFTER crews have gone by WILL NOT be picked up until the next time crews are scheduled in that District.
  • After each District is gone through twice for leaf pickup, we will go through again with the sweepers for our final sweep. After the final sweep is accomplished in your district, no leaves are to be put into the street.
  • After the final sweep has been completed, all residents are urged to bag their leaves in plastic bags for pick-up by the Streets Department. Residents must put their bags at the curb and call the Bureau of Streets at 610-437-7638 to schedule a pick up; Please allow a few days for the pick-up of the bagged leaves. Bags that have a mixture of leaves and garbage WILL NOT be picked up.
