The Office of Animal Control aims to protect public health by managing animal-related issues as per ordinances and laws. We work in partnership with several organizations to address animal-related concerns. 

For barking issues, feces accumulation, dog licenses, and roadkill, contact the Allentown Office of Animal Control at 610-437-8729.

For lost pets, found and held stray animals, injured animals, animal cruelty, and animal adoptions contact the Lehigh Valley Humane Society at 610-797-1205

Wildlife Concerns must be handled by a licensed trapper. 

Dog Information:

Pet Owner Rules: Secure your pets on a leash, clean up droppings, and pets are not permitted in the Old Allentown Cemetery at 10th & Linden.

Vaccinations and Licensing: Dogs over 12 weeks must be vaccinated and licensed. Licenses expire annually on December 31st. Lifetime licenses available at Lehigh County Fiscal Office. Annual licenses are available at the Animal Control Office and online through Lehigh County.
