The Allentown Police Department Warrant Unit is responsible for serving warrants for traffic and non-traffic summary cases and criminal offenses.

Frequently, they assist the Lehigh County Office of District Attorney, and other agencies with statewide or out-of-state prisoner extraditions and transports.  Warrant officers are called upon to transport prisoners for judicial proceedings. 

They must maintain all the warrant files and keep them updated.
