The Property and Evidence Unit keeps property that has been seized as evidence from a criminal investigation until an individual makes an appointment to claim their items.

 

Property Returns

All property returns are by appointment at Allentown Police Department, 425 Hamilton St.

To claim your property you must contact the Allentown Police Department Property and Evidence Unit to schedule an appointment for return to your items.

The Property and Evidence Unit can be reached Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at 610-437-7687 to schedule an appointment.

When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, you must bring valid Photo Identification.

All firearm returns will require approval through the Pennsylvania Instant Check System (E-PICS). The E-PICS check will be conducted by the Property and Evidence Unit at the arranged pick-up time. E-Pics denials must be challenged through the PA State Police Instant Check Challenge process.

No firearms will be returned without an E-PICS approval.

Any additional questions regarding return of a firearm should be addressed with the Property and Evidence Unit prior to your appointment.
