Curbside Collection

 
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY

There are NO CHANGES to curbside collection in any parts of the City. All collection zones are to place out their trash, recycling, and yard waste as normal.
If you need to report a missed collection from either Friday night or Sunday night, please leave a voicemail message on our "Missed Collection" line.
The Recycling office on S 10th St will be closed on Monday, May 29th, and will reopen at 8am on Tuesday, May 30th. 

 


 

The City has twice weekly trash collection, and once weekly recycling and yard waste collection.
All items are to be placed in front of YOUR OWN property between 5 pm and 10 pm on the night of collection.

Trash Limits

Up to five (5) bags of trash per collection night. Maximum bag size of 30 gallons and 40 pounds each.

OR

Two (2) trash cans per collection night. Maximum can size of 32 gallons and 70 pounds each.


**Only regular household/kitchen trash allowed per these limits. No construction debris mixed with household trash. Construction debris limits listed below.

 

Bulk Items & Construction Materials

Only on your SECOND collection night; Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.

One bulk item per week.
Examples: piece of furniture, mattress and box spring set, toilet, one room's worth of carpeting, etc.

OR

40 pounds of construction material, bundled or contained in a trash bag or trash can. DO NOT place in boxes. Do not mix with your regular household trash.
Examples: lumber, drywall, sheetrock, tile, etc.

 

 

Recycling

Unlimited curbside recycling in the City! May only be placed out in City-issued recycling bins.
Bins are available for pickup at our office, located at 641 S. 10th St. Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

You may mix all of your bottles, cans, cartons, paper, and cardboard in one bin! Larger cardboard boxes may also be flattened and stacked next to the recycling bin.
Do not place recycling in plastic bags or trash bags.

Yard Waste

Curbside yard waste collection only takes place April - November.
*The final week for curbside yard waste collection will be Nov 19 - 24, 2023


Yard waste includes organic material only, such as grass, branches, trimmings, hedges, etc.
Place in a brown paper yard waste bag, or in a rigid container (32 gallon maximum size). Residents must provide their own container, and should place yard waste stickers on the container. Stickers are available are our office, located at 641 S. 10th St. Place the container or bag at the curb on your recycling night. Loose branches must be bundled and tied.

Yard waste that is placed in City-issued recycling bins will not be collected.

BAMBOO is not to be placed out for curbside yard waste collection, nor taken to the yard waste site on Oxford Dr.
