Description:
Purpose - The Floodplain Development Permit is the mechanism by which our community evaluates any and all impacts of activities proposed within our regulated floodplains. All activities must be in compliance with City Code Chapter 298: Flood Control.
Authority - As required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Code of Federal Regulations, National Flood Insurance Program, (NFIP) 44 CFR Part 60.3(a)(1) and City Code Chapter 298-11, Flood Control, no work of any kind may begin in the 100-Year Floodplain until a Floodplain Development Permit is issued.
