Students Rewarded with Fire Engine Ride

The City of Allentown along with the Allentown Fire Department in partnership with the Allentown School District is rewarding the hard work of some elementary school students with a ride to school in a fire engine. The program begins Tuesday, May 2 at Executive Education Academy Charter School and will conclude on Friday, June 2 at Union Terrace Elementary School.

Two students from each of the participating elementary schools have been selected by their principal to be rewarded with the ride. Students were selected for excellence in academics, academic improvement, behavior, citizenship, perfect attendance, work ethic, leadership in the classroom and safety patrol.

Schedule and Student Awardees:

May 2 - Executive Education Academy Charter School- Louis Santiago, Tyler Crouthamel Excellence in Citizenship

May 9 - Central Elementary- Leslie Soto, Darwin Santiago Excellence in Behavior

May 12 - Lehigh Parkway- Brooks Britt, Kaelynn Burrell Perfect Attendance

May 15 - Roosevelt- Hayron Guilbe, Davian Serrano Excellence in Behavior

May 16 - Cleveland- Damari Walker, Estrella Viveros Excellence in Leadership

May 18 - Jefferson- Miara Mitteff, Alexis Barragan-Canete Excellence as a Safety Patrol

May 19 - Sheridan- Janyraliz Nieves, Jamal Aybar- Excellence in Leadership

May 22 – Roberto Clemente Elementary Charter School- Nikaury Flores-Albino, Felix Ramirez Excellence in Academics

May 23 - Muhlenberg- Nathaniel Horn, Doris Bozali Excellence in Citizenship

May 24 - Ramos- Jhohana Morales Excellence in Academics, Kaleen Ramos Excellence in Citizenship

May 25 - Ritter- Hemazro Folligan, Luzmarie Tavares Excellence in Citizenship

May 26 - Dodd- Jasmin Reyes, Orlando Vargas Excellence in Leadership

May 30 - McKinley- Emmanuel Santiago Rivera Excellence in Citizenship, Keyliana Maga Gonzalez Excellence in Behavior

May 31 - Washington- Robert Williams, Angelo Santiago Ortiz Excellence in Academics

June 1 - Mosser- Luis Marinez, Mery Correa Castro Excellence in Academics

June 2 - Union Terrace- Kisha Raymond, Alexis Rosario Excellence as a Safety Patrol

The students will be picked up at their home by a fire engine and transported to their respective school. Arrival at the public schools is expected between 9:05am and 9:15am. Arrival at the charter schools is expected around 8:30am. The students will also receive a certificate from the fire chief and signed by Mayor Ed Pawlowski in recognition of their achievement.
