Bob Kudlak took the oath of office today as interim fire chief in the City of Allentown during a ceremony in City Council Chambers.

The city of Allentown’s new East Side Fire Station is open. Mayor Ed Pawlowski, Interim Fire Chief Bob Kudlak, retired Fire Chief Bob Scheirer and members of City Council cut a ribbon today to officially open the North Irving Street facility.

Interim Allentown Fire Chief Bob Kudlak is asking city residents to “Adopt a Fire Hydrant.”

Two new firefighters are putting their skills to work in the Allentown Fire Department. They were among the graduates of the Allentown Fire Academy who were honored during a ceremony today at the city's Mack South Fire Station.
