COVID-19 Vaccine

Free COVID-19 Vaccines for Individuals 6 months of age and older:

  • Days/Times:  Monday, Wednesday and Friday ONLY (9:00 AM - 3:30 PM)                                                                    
  • Location:  Allentown Health Bureau, 245 N. 6th Street, Allentown PA 18102
  • Walk-in only.  No appointment necessary.  
  • Please remember to bring your white CDC vaccine card if coming for your Second or Booster shot.
  • IMPORTANT...Individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Available Primary Vaccines:
    • Moderna (for ages 18 and older):  First and Second doses
    • Pfizer (for ages 12 and older):  First and Second doses
    • Pfizer (for ages 5 - 11): First, Second and Booster doses
    • Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine (for ages 6 months - 4 years old) which is a 3 dose primary series.

- Doses 1 and 2 must be separated by 21 days.

- Doses 2 and 3 must be separated by 8 weeks.

  • Available Boosters - see further information below
    • Moderna Bivalent - 18 years and older
    • Pfizer Bivalent - 12 years and older
  • BOOSTER DOSE UPDATE (9/12/22):
    • Beginning Monday, September 12, 2022, the Alletown Health Bureau will have the new versions of the bivalent COVID-19 booster available on a walk-in basis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 AM - 3 PM.  Appointments are not needed.
    • Individuals are eligible to get the new booster as long as they are 2 months removed from either their last booster or their completed primary series of shots.
    • The Moderna bivalent booster vaccine is authorized for use in people 18 years of age, while the Pfizer bivalent booster vaccine is authorized for those 12 years of age and older.  Children ages 5 through 11 are still authorized to receive the previous version of the booster.
  • Since their rollout, the COVID-19 vaccines have provens safe and effective.  The new bivalent boosters are updated versions of the previous Moderna and Pfizer-NioNTech vaccines tailored to combat the BA.4 and BA.5 omincron subvariants which are currently the dominant strains across the globe.
  • NOTE:  Johnson & Johnson is no longer available.

HOMEBOUND COVID-19 VACCINE HOTLINE:  

Provided by Allentown EMS Paramedics to citizens of Allentown with health conditions and mobility issues preventing them from reaching a vaccine clinic.

To qualify for an in-home vaccination, you MUST:

  • Be a City of Allentown Resident, AND
  • Have a Health Condition that makes leaving the house very difficult.   
  • If you (or a family member/client) meet these conditions, please call our Homebound Vaccine Hotline at 610-260-0360, and leave a clear message with your NAME, PHONE NUMBER, and ADDRESS (please provide your contact information if scheduling on behalf of someone). Prompts on the Homebound Vaccine Hotline are in English and Spanish.
