The Parks & Recreation Board advises on programs and facilities in Allentown since its establishment in 1921. It includes up to twelve members appointed by the Mayor and City Council. To join, candidates should have experience or education in recreation, volunteer time for projects, collaborate with various groups like elected officials and school board members, contribute to park planning, and support diverse representation across Allentown neighborhoods.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at Bucky Boyle Park (10 Pump Place, Allentown 18102).
