Learn to Swim Classes

Session 2 July 6 - July 17, 2009 (Jordan Pool)
Session 3 July 20 - July 31, 2009 (Fountain Pool)
Session 4 August 3 - August 14, 2009 (Mack Pool)
*All lessons take place Monday-Friday from 10:30am-11:15am

Levels 1: Get comfortable in the water and learn basic freestyle and floating skills.  

Levels 2: Perfect your freestyle, learn basic backstroke, sidestroke, how to kneel-dive and how to tread water. 

Levels 3: Continue perfecting your freestyle and backstroke; learn breaststroke, rotary breathing and how to do a standing dive.

Levels 4: Continue perfecting your freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and standing-dive with the goal of learning the butterfly stroke and increasing your endurance and overall ability to swim.

Water Babies: 12 Participants per class
Help your child gain confidence by playing games and enjoying toys in the water.
(An adult must be in the water)
9 months – 2 years of age

Toddler Swim: 12 Participants per class
Help your child gain confidence by playing games and enjoying toys in the water.
(An adult must be in the water)
2-3 years of age

Private Lesson:

2008 Resident Swim Cards

The card is good for free swimming at any of the city’s five pools for seniors or disabled adults and children for the summer season. Residents who meet the guidelines can sign up at the Recreation Office.

3rd Annual Doggie Dip
Minimize

$4 per dog

Come and spend a special day with your favorite companion and meet others who share the same interest. Dogs get the chance to play, run free and swim in our City pools after the pools are closed for the summer.

Any dog that becomes aggressive will be asked to leave. Each dog will need to be up to date on all shots and have  2008 dog license or they will not be allowed to participate. 

 

 Monetary donations, food and treats are greatly appreciated by the Lehigh County Humane Society
